6/26/2023 0 Comments Cloudberry server on synology![]() ( I dont want to use Duplicati I want to use HyperBackup or Cloudberry Backup ) From doing alot of searching, and searching it appears Amazon’s version of S3 uses. I am also not sure how recoveries work and how reliable they are. On Synology if you install Duplicati they have a spot for custom commands, When you have it append the following it works from Synology w/ Duplicati. NAS- Synology RackStation RS818RP+, 4xHDD3,5', 41000Base-T,. I however am not a fan mainly due to the lack of error reporting and having ALL my file/folder backups in one location to manage. Now I need to find an alternative.Ĭurrently, I just created a new bucket, used Hyperbackup (the synology app) to create a backup to AWS as well as a backup to a connected external drive. I now think I want to be a Cloudberry admin. I used to joke that I wanted to be a DHCP admin because it would require so little work (not original I know). Select Create backup task and choose Custom Server URL under S3 Server dropdown. ![]() Scroll down in Cloud Storage options and click S3 Storage and click Next. Click the + button and choose Data backup task. One of the main reasons I chose Cloudberry was because I could control the back end storage as well as having a portal to login to to check backups. The Cloudberry server backup is way faster than than even the Synology backup package - Sorry Synology - I do love you but it's true. Install Hyper Backup from the Synology Package Center. It would have been nice to receive an email regarding this change, but oh well. It is now a "free to use" product with no support provided. However, the rep informed my that the Synology/QNAP support was discontinued last month. Support was helpful and answered my question. Contacted Cloudberry support due to having issues with running backups from a Synology NAS.
